DAK Coffee Roasters – Bolivia Tropic Sun is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Caranavi region in Bolivia. Cultivated at the Kusillo farm by the Los Rodriguez family at an altitude of 1468 MASL, this lot consists entirely of the Batian variety. The cherries undergo a farm-specific Coco Natural drying process: washed cherries rest on patios for 48 to 72 hours before completing their drying stage in stationary box dryers at the Buena Vista wet mill until reaching 11.5% moisture content.
The resulting cup demonstrates a dynamic, tropical flavor profile with structured acidity and high sweetness. The flavor hierarchy opens with vibrant notes of lush tropical fruits and juicy mango, grounded by a bittersweet base note of raw cacao nibs. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this 125g lot is optimized for manual pour-over brewing methods including the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
