Friedhats – Kenya Karimikui is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Kirinyaga region in Kenya. This lot consists of a traditional field blend of SL-28, SL-34, and Batian varieties, grown at altitudes of 1600–1700 MASL and delivered by smallholders to the Karimikui factory. Processed using the fully washed method (Washed), the coffee displays high structural cleanliness, showcasing the classic bright acidity and distinct flavor definition of Kenyan terroirs.
The resulting cup delivers an elegant, refreshing body with high flavor separation. The sensory hierarchy features delicate notes of green tea, integrated with a sweet, dark fruit base of ripe dates. This profile is accented by a distinct, spicy-sweet element resembling classic cola. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this high-density lot is designed for manual pour-over methods including the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
