About this product
KB Coffee Roasters – Kenya Busaara is a groundbreaking specialty release that challenges conventional Kenyan processing norms. Grown at 1700 MASL in the western highlands of Kericho, this micro-lot is crafted by Sidney Kibet, who applies a rigorous, scientific approach to small-batch fermentations. Combining Ruiru 11, Batian, SL34, and SL28 varieties, the cherries undergo a meticulous 96-hour anaerobic fermentation in sealed tanks inoculated with FERMO Brew Nectar yeast. This advanced Natural Anaerobic process, followed by 25 days of slow drying on raised beds, ensures outstanding cup clarity and distinct flavor separation.
The resulting cup is beautifully juicy, complex, and carry a heavy, well-structured body. It kicks off with a rich, expressive rush of sweet blueberries and dark blackberries. This intense forest fruit core smoothly transitions into a vibrant, refreshing touch of sweet citrus fruits, all resting on a comforting, velvety foundation of milk chocolate. Lightly roasted for filter brewing, Busaara delivers spectacular transparency and sweetness through pour-over methods like the Hario V60, Chemex, or AeroPress.
