Some people still remember the first coffee from Coffee Plant macerated in wine – Zinfandel. It was an experiment that has long been etched in the memories of coffee lovers and enthusiasts of unique coffee experiences. Now, we're revisiting this idea with a campaign dedicated to flavors. Brazil Wine Blush expands on this story. Here's Wine Blush – coffee macerated in wine, but with a new twist. It has a distinct, winey, fruity character with notes of lemon and milk chocolate, and a delicate, creamy texture typical of Brazilian coffees. It retains the aroma and flavor of the wine in which it was matured, but without the alcohol – only its elegant, light character remains.
Maceration Process:
Maceration preserves the natural sweetness of the Brazilian beans, enriching them with wine aromas that give the brew exceptional depth and freshness. The roastery performed the maceration process in-house. The raw beans were macerated for 24 hours in a blend of three wines from the Iberian Peninsula – Spanish Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, and Portuguese rosé Syrah. This combination gave the coffee its distinctive aroma and delicate vinous notes, which persist even after roasting. During roasting, the alcohol completely evaporates, leaving a vinous sensory profile. This is a coffee that is alcohol-free, yet still retains the noble character of the wine in which it matured – fruity, light, and elegant.
