Ecuador's first of the season, and it's for pure coffee lovers. This washing process of Finca Cruz Loma's Typica Mejorado is light and delicate, with flavor notes of earl grey, yellow plum, and fig. Cruz Loma is a family-owned, award-winning farm that has been producing coffee for over 20 years. Only in the last eight years has it begun focusing on specialty coffee. Galo Morales and his wife, Maria Alexandra, run a pioneering farm in the country that has won numerous awards over the past few years. They also operate their own dry mill in Quito, where they also have a laboratory, and all quality control is performed before the coffee is exported. They recently purchased a second farm, where they currently produce Sidra, Typica Mejorado, Bourbon, Pacamara, and Gesha. Cruz Loma took first place in the 2022 Taza Dorada, second place in the 2023 Taza Dorada, and third place in the 2022 COE.
