DAK Coffee Roasters – Colombia Berry Freeze is a spectacular showcase of the rare Chiroso variety, delivering far more sweetness than a traditional fully washed process typically yields. Grown by Jorge Rojas at Finca El Proceso, the cherries were brought to his La Roca plant in Planadas at an altitude of 2050 MASL. After precise sorting and pulping, the coffee rested overnight before being thoroughly washed the next morning and dried for fifteen days in marquesinas, ensuring immaculate flavor stability.
The resulting cup is remarkably juicy, clean, and structured. It opens with an indulgent, sweet profile reminiscent of gourmet forest fruits gelato. This creamy, berry-forward sweetness is beautifully complemented by a refined, grounding note of premium black tea and an elegant, elevated lift of florals. Lightly roasted to preserve its high-altitude complexity, Berry Freeze is an incredible filter coffee for pour-over enthusiasts looking for unparalleled clarity married with deep, pastry-like fruitiness.
