Colombia La Maria Geisha is a return that has been eagerly awaited. This coffee is exactly as the roasters themselves promise: strange in the best possible way, intense, sweet, and completely unmistakable. From the very first sip, the cup explodes with notes of orange jam, strawberry lollipop, and cherry bubblegum, and the whole thing is finished with an aromatic, floral accent of orange blossom, which adds elegance to this fruity madness. This is a naturally processed geisha, which is perfectly noticeable in its profile – it's juicy, sweet, and very aromatic, but without being heavy. The acidity is lively, fruity, and reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits, the body is medium, smooth, and creamy, and the aftertaste is long, sugary, fruity, and incredibly pleasant. This is a coffee that's more reminiscent of a fruit dessert than a classic pour-over.
