About this product
Friedhats – Colombia La Maria Gesha Anaerobic is an exclusive single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the La Maria estate in La Mesa, Cundinamarca, Colombia. Grown at 1660–1750 MASL by Orlando and Emilsen, this lot is 100% Gesha. The cherries undergo a controlled Anaerobic Submerged Fermentation process, where water is added to sealed tanks after initial cherry breakdown to regulate temperature and maintain fermentation consistency. The lot is then drained and dried in stages, amplifying sweetness and tropical aromatic depth.
The resulting cup features high flavor clarity, vibrant fruit acidity, and an intricate tropical profile. The sensory structure opens with crisp, sweet notes of fresh mandarin, balanced by bright raspberry. The base is supported by smooth, sweet undertones of ripe papaya. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this lot delivers clean and consistent results in manual pour-over methods such as the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
