Colombia La Esperanza Geisha is an elegant and floral coffee with distinct notes of violet, lychee, and stone fruit. The brew is delicate, silky, with a distinct sweetness and subtle acidity, perfect for alternative brewing methods that bring out the full complexity of the aromas.
This coffee from the La Esperanza farm in Caldas, Colombia, is grown by Don Luis, whose coffee tradition stretches back to his grandparents. The farm is surrounded by a mountainous landscape and a variety of trees (guamos, yarumos, citrus, and arrayanes) that provide natural shade and organic matter to the soil. The slow and even ripening of the coffee cherries promotes a rich aroma. A washed Geisha variety, grown at an altitude of approximately 1,700–1,900 meters above sea level, in accordance with the principles of sustainable agriculture.
