A cup of Costa Rica Šumava is dominated by floral aromas and distinct citrus notes, intertwined with a dense, marmalade-like sweetness. The coffee has a full, silky body and a slightly "funky" finish that adds character. This brew combines freshness, juiciness, and exotic charm – perfect for lovers of intense pour-over coffees with exceptional purity and depth of flavor.
Šumava coffee comes from the Lourdes de Naranjo region of Costa Rica, from a farm run by Francisco Mena in collaboration with a Czech investor, making it one of the most innovative projects in the country. The Kenyan SL28 and SL34 varieties grown here were processed using the red honey method and then slowly dried on shaded terraces and African beds. The result is a coffee with an exceptionally juicy, floral-citrus character and a complex profile.
