Friedhats – Ethiopia Bookkisa is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Bookkisa micro-region in Guji, Ethiopia. Produced by Ture Waji (Sookoo Coffee) and processed at the Weessi washing station at an altitude of 2000 MASL, this lot consists of the 74110 and 74112 varieties. Processed via the traditional dry method (Natural), the cherries were slowly dried on raised beds to maximize natural sweetness, fruit depth, and cup clarity.
The resulting cup features a smooth, structured body with bright organic acidity. The flavor hierarchy opens with juicy notes of dark blackberry and ripe apricot, elevated by a fragrant herbal-citrus hint of lemon verbena. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this lot is optimized for manual pour-over methods including the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
