Friedhats – Ethiopia Chelchele Lemongrass is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Gedeb region in Ethiopia (1900–2300 MASL). Produced by EDN at the Banko Chelchele washing station, this lot features the local 74112 and 74110 landrace varieties. The coffee undergoes an experimental Anaerobic Natural + Lemongrass process, fermenting in sealed oxygen-free tanks with fresh lemongrass for 5–10 days before drying on raised beds. This method delivers bright sweetness and complex aromatics while maintaining clean cup structure.

The resulting Omni roast showcases a delicate, fruit-forward taste profile with a distinct tea finish. The sensory hierarchy is led by notes of juicy peach and floral lychee, rounded out by a clean, crisp background of green tea. Roasted as an Omni-roast, it performs with excellence across both filter brew methods and espresso extractions.
