Friedhats – Ethiopia Danche is an organically certified single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Chelbesa region in Gedeo, Ethiopia (2000–2300 MASL). Processed at the Danche washing station operated by SNAP, this lot aggregates the harvest of approximately 400 smallholder farmers growing indigenous Heirloom varieties. The cherries undergo traditional Natural dry processing, resulting in enhanced natural sweetness, complex acidity, and rich aromatics.
The resulting filter roast demonstrates a vibrant, floral, and stone-fruit-forward flavor hierarchy. The sensory profile opens with sweet notes of ripe peach and juicy plum, balanced by a refined, aromatic finish of honeysuckle. Lightly roasted for manual pour-over extraction, it performs consistently across tools like the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
