Friedhats – Kenya Gicherori is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Embu region in Kenya (1650–1800 MASL). Processed at the Gicherori Factory under the Kibugu Farmer’s Coop, this lot features a blend of SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties grown by 1,062 smallholders. The coffee undergoes a traditional fully Washed process, highlighting crisp acidity, high cup transparency, and structured sweetness.
The resulting filter roast presents a vibrant, fruit-forward taste profile balanced by deep sugars. The sensory hierarchy is led by notes of sweet apricot and tangy rhubarb, grounded by a long finish of brown sugar. Lightly roasted for manual pour-over extraction, it performs consistently across tools like the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
