KB Coffee Roasters – Rwanda Gisanga is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Ruhango district in the Southern Province of Rwanda. Produced by the 850 smallholder farmers of the Koakambu cooperative in partnership with Tropic Coffee Ltd, this lot consists of the Bourbon Rouge variety grown at altitudes of 1650–1850 MASL. The cherries undergo controlled anaerobic fermentation before being sun-dried as whole fruit (Natural Anaerobic), maximizing sugar concentration and flavor intensity.
The resulting cup features a sweet, smooth body paired with vibrant red fruit acidity. The flavor profile is centered on juicy notes of ripe raspberries and sweet strawberries, grounded by a creamy foundation of milk chocolate and elevated by a delicate floral finish. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this lot performs consistently across manual brewing methods including the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
