Moklair - Ethiopia Lalesa Washed is an outstanding, classic Ethiopian from the Gedeb region, rated 87.5 SCA points and classified by Moklair as a Grand Cru. It comes from the Lalesa Washing Station (2,200 meters above sea level) and is produced by Gotiti smallholders with meticulous selection and purity of profile. Thanks to the washed method, the coffee is exceptionally clear, elegant, and has a tea-citrus flavor.
The aroma immediately reveals black tea and bergamot, reminiscent of Earl Grey. The taste develops a beautiful tarte tatin sweetness – caramelized peach with hints of toffee and caramel – complemented by delicate floral accents. The acidity is medium, juicy, and delicate, and the body is light, yet very lively and elegant. The overall aroma is clean, luminous, and incredibly refined, with a long, tea-fruity finish.
