The Naughty Dog – Kenya Karimikui is a beautifully clean and vibrant single-origin specialty coffee displaying the true essence of the Kirinyaga region. Grown at altitudes of 1600–1900 MASL, this lot features a blend of Batian, Ruiru 11, SL28, and SL34 varieties harvested in December 2025. A meticulous fully washed process (Washed) strips away heavy processing characteristics to deliver outstanding varietal definition, a well-structured body, and excellent structural clarity.
The resulting cup delivers high flavor separation, a light tea-like body, and a long, clean finish. It opens with the lively, crisp acidity of sweet lime, which quickly gives way to the juicy, classic tartness of ripe red currant. This dynamic fruit profile is masterfully grounded by a sophisticated, comforting finish of premium black tea. Lightly roasted with superb precision for filter extraction, this lot shines across manual pour-overs like the Hario V60.
