Dak Coffee Roasters – Ethiopia Purple Rain showcases a modern and intense flavor profile from the Guji region. Sourced from the Layo processing station, this lot consists of traditional Heirloom varieties grown at an altitude of 1900 MASL. It represents the first Anaerobic Natural lot of the new Ethiopian harvest. The whole cherries are fermented inside sealed, oxygen-free tanks before drying on raised beds, driving the fruit sugars and complexity to their peak.
The resulting cup features a heavy, well-structured body and exceptional sweetness. The entire sensory experience aligns toward a distinct "purple" direction, leading with rich, dense notes of purple fruits and a vibrant mix of tart wild berries. The profile is closely accompanied by a fragrant, deep layer of purple florals. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this coffee delivers high flavor concentration and distinct definition through pour-over methods like the Hario V60.
