Dak Coffee Roasters – Colombia Juice Box is a distinctive specialty coffee sourced from the Urrao region. This lot features the rare Chiroso variety, cultivated at a high altitude of 2000 MASL. Genetically linked to Ethiopian landraces, Chiroso delivers a cup profile that drinks closer to a washed African coffee than a traditional Colombian profile. The lot is processed using the fully washed method (Washed), ensuring pristine cup clarity and high flavor separation.
The resulting cup features a light, crisp body and high juiciness. The flavor leads with a vibrant citrus note of blood orange and the sharp, refreshing tartness of rhubarb. A smooth, foundational layer of sweet honey balances the bright acidity, leading into a clean finish. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this coffee performs exceptionally well across all manual pour-over methods like the Hario V60.
