About this product
Good Coffee – Colombia Peñas Blancas Ombligon is an exceptionally rare specialty microlot, custom-processed for those who appreciate high varietal intensity combined with immaculate cup clarity. This lot features the highly sought-after Ombligon variety, grown at 1650–1850 MASL in Acevedo, Huila. Collected transparently from smallholders, the cherries were processed via a traditional fully washed method (Washed) at the Peñas Blancas wet mill, owned by world-renowned processing pioneers Nestor Lasso and Jhoan Vergara.
The resulting cup strips away heavy anaerobic overtones, yielding a brilliantly clean, vibrant, and well-structured profile. It opens with an exotic burst of tangy passion fruit accompanied by crisp layers of lemongrass and bright citrus. The mid-palate reveals the dense sweetness of ripe grapes, subtly grounded by a comforting touch of deep prunes in a remarkably long, sweet finish. Lightly roasted for filter extraction, this lot showcases outstanding balance and flavor definition across manual pour-overs like the Hario V60.
