LOT Coffee – Rwanda Impinga is a beautiful showcase of traditional East African specialty coffee from a small washing station in the Rusizi region of Western Rwanda. Featuring the coveted Red Bourbon variety, this lot is processed using a meticulous fully washed method with dry fermentation. Slow drying on raised African beds for 11 to 14 days ensures excellent flavor stability and brings out the finest characteristics of the terroir.
The cup is wonderfully juicy and crisp, leading with vibrant citrus notes of fresh orange and zest of lemon. This bright acidity is elegantly grounded by a rich, comforting sweetness of brown sugar, smooth almonds, and a delicate hint of cocoa in the finish. Highly balanced and clean, Rwanda Impinga is a fantastic option for pour-over brewing methods like V60, Chemex, or batch brew, offering a classic and sophisticated filter experience.
