Quickborn Roastery – Kenya Thirikwa Farmers is a single-origin specialty coffee sourced from the Kirinyaga region in Kenya (1600–1700 MASL). Produced by smallholder members of the Thirikwa Farmers’ Cooperative Society, this lot combines classic SL28 and SL34 varieties. The coffee undergoes a traditional Washed process at the Gakuyu-ini Factory followed by raised bed drying, ensuring exceptional cup clarity, vibrant acidity, and flavor consistency.
The resulting filter roast demonstrates a layered, fruit-forward taste profile. The sensory hierarchy is led by crisp, tart notes of cranberries, grounded by a rich, jammy sweetness of blackberry jam and dried figs. Lightly roasted for manual pour-over extraction, it performs consistently across tools like the Hario V60, Chemex, and AeroPress.
