Burundi Masha is a classic, high-quality specialty coffee whose beans are carefully depulped on the day of harvest, fermented underwater for 12–24 hours, then thoroughly washed and dried on elevated tables for approximately 20 days. This meticulous process translates into exceptional purity in the cup and a complex flavor. The aroma is dominated by notes of dark forest fruits, which combine with a refreshing touch of tea lemonade, creating a harmonious composition with a pleasant sweetness and a distinctive acidity. This coffee from the Masha wash in the Kayanza region of Burundi is grown at an altitude of 1,672 meters above sea level by over 3,200 local farmers. The Bourbon variety, washed, offers a sweet and bright profile with notes of forest fruits and a refreshing tea lemonade.
